    PPS - PTA Clothing Closet

Since 1964, the PTA Clothing Center’s sole purpose has been to furnish has been to furnish age-appropriate clothing that fits children who need those services. By caring for the basic needs of our youth and allowing them to dress as their peers, we are encouraging positive self-esteem, academic success and regular class attendance.

Each year every PTA in the PPS district is asked to send volunteers to help at the Clothing Closet. Odyssey has been asked to send at least 6 volunteers on Thursday, January 10. You will be needed from 9a.m.-1p.m. The PTA Clothing Center is located at the Marshall High School Campus: 3901 SE 91st Ave, Room B-60.

Please email Jamie Clary at jamieclary@outlook.com if you are available to volunteer.

Save the date for January 15th, 6-7pm in the auditorium for a fun filled meeting regarding the upcoming K12 performance!  The K12 teachers will not only do their best to answer all of your questions regarding the performance but will also have volunteer opportunities sign ups as well!  Don’t miss this meeting! ATTENDANCE IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED!
-note- if you are a parent that has been through a few performances and are interested in volunteering your time to watch some kiddos during the meeting please contact Katie Dill... we would love to be able to offer childcare for attending parents to maximize meeting attendance:)

Girls on the Run at Odyssey

Attention all 345 Girls!!  Girls on the Run will be coming to a Odyssey/East Sylvan in the spring!!  This is very exciting! Thanks to Ms.Marron and Ms.Mankowski who have graciously agreed to COACH AS VOLUNTEERS!   Yeah!!   We are still in need of a 3rd and final coach, so if you are interested please let myself (katie dill-GOTR site liaison) or one of the coaches know ASAP!

More details to come regarding GOTR but please please mark your calendars for The following info regarding registration!  Practices will begin the week of March 4th:)

Participant Registration: Online registration for girls will open Thursday, January 10th at 9:00am on our website and will close on January 13th at midnight. Instead of admitting girls on a “first come, first serve” basis as we have in years past, we will be admitting girls via a lottery system. This means that for teams who have more than 15 girls sign up, our system will do a random selection of the girls who will be permitted to join the team. After the lottery has been run, only then will girls join on a "first come, first serve" basis.
