    Farewell Message from Vice-Principal Self

    Dear Odyssey,

It has been such a pleasure to be a part of the Odyssey Community for the last three years.  Thank you for trusting me, helping me, and challenging me everyday.  I have learned something from each of you and I will miss the warm smiles, enthusiastic learning, and helpful attitude.  While I am excited to move on to my next adventure, please know that Odyssey will always hold a special place in my heart!

    Best Wishes,

    Denise

    Student PPS Account Change

    On June 19, apps4pps.net changes to student.pps.net!

Students wishing to log into their PPS Google account away from school and during the summer will need to use a new domain name, student.pps.net, starting June 19. For example, if your username is ksmith1234@apps4pps.net, your new username would be ksmith1234@student.pps.net.

    Thank you,

    Angela Hoffart

    Principal’s Secretary

    Fall Festival Food Cart Ideas

The Fall Festival team is in search of food suggestions and feedback regarding the dinner option(s) that will be available for the Fall Festival. Are there any Odyssey Families that have a connection to a food truck owner that may be interested in selling food at the event?

We are looking to book a food truck that will be interested in partnering with us in a "restaurant night" style service where a percentage of the proceeds are donated back to the school for fundraising efforts.

Please contact Danica (danicawnuk@gmail.com) or Todd (tcstevenson@gmail.com) with feedback and suggestions.

Thank you for helping make the 2019 Fall Festival a success!

Lost & Found is piling up again….  The next time you’re at school please check our Lost and Found for any items your student has misplaced.  It’s located in the stairwell near the gym and Ms. Gregoire’s classroom.

Odyssey Summer Family Campout at Oxbow Regional Park August 23-25

Join us for a community campout this summer at Oxbow Regional Park. It is 25 miles east of Portland (about a 45 minute drive) on the Sandy River. There are flush toilets (and a few vault toilets), free hot showers, a playground, an amphitheater, many trails and access to sandy beaches, wading, inner tube floating. There are 14 tent sites that we reserved (unfortunately, no RV sites were available). You can come out Friday afternoon and stay both nights, or come out Saturday for one night (or just the day). We always have a great time swimming, splashing and inner tubing in the river, building fires, roasting marshmallow and getting to know each other better. Note that camping sites are limited, so don’t wait until the last minute!

More information, pictures and directions to Oxbow Regional Park can be found here: https://www.oregonmetro.gov/parks/oxbow-regional-park/camping-oxbow

    Cost:

2 nights: $52 + a one time $5 parking fee that you pay to the park when you arrive (up to two cars per site)

1 night:   $38 +  a one time $5 parking fee that you pay to the park when you arrive (up to two cars per site)

Day trip: $5 for parking that you pay to the park

Contact Marie-Eve Thifault if you want to join in the fun at mthifault@gmail.com and include the following:

    ·        Name and number of people in group

    ·        Which nights (Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24)

    ·        You preferred site number and a second and third choice just in case. This Google doc spreadsheet lists the sites that we reserved. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EbfSyQrelAY8cQsJrGxo3TeRV2j2i9B4_EKWhnM1BRk/edit?usp=sharing

Here is the link to the campsite map: https://www.oregonmetro.gov/sites/default/files/2019/02/08/Oxbow-camping-guide.pdf

Paypal (david.nicholas.barsic@gmail.com) and Venmo (David Barsic) payments preferred but you can also pay with a check (contact us for details).

Hope you can join the fun!
