• Grab and Go Meals & SchoolCafé

Starting on September 2nd, the Nutrition Services Department plans to have 36 schools operating with grab and go meal services. Beginning September 14th, Ockley Green and Lane Middle Schools will begin offering grab and go meal service. There is a lot of information regarding our new grab and go meal service on the PPS Fall 2020 Meal Service website.

We hope that minimizing the meal pick up days will be less of a burden for families as opposed to asking them to come every day.

Families can now submit a new meal application for the 2020-21 school year.

A new application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals must be completed each school year. Income guidelines to apply for Free and Reduced-Price Meals have been updated. Nutrition Services website has these new income guidelines, the online application to apply for Free and Reduced-Priced meals, and more.

Families have the following payment options:

    • Send a check to PPS Nutrition Services, 501 N. Dixon St, Portland, OR 97227.
    • Submit an online payment via SchoolCafé. NOTE: There is a 5% fee and a minimum payment of $15 per transaction.

Eligibility for free/reduced-price school meals may also help families with other fee reductions or waivers such as -

    • Science lab fees
    • College application fees
    • Summer school fees
    • Comcast or another cable/internet services
    • Field trips
    • Supplemental food and nutrition benefits (when available)
