Details of the fire alarm upgrade work:
Following full assessment by a design firm, a new fire suppression system was designed to meet the requirements of the 2014 Oregon Fire Code, the Portland Fire Marshal and Portland Public School District Standards. The new system includes installation of an incoming fire service piping, along with a double check valve for backflow prevention. Inside the school sprinkler mains and branch lines were installed including fire department connection and a flow switch interlocked with the building fire alarm system.
