Makerspaces at Portland Public Schools offer a place for students to engage in STEAM learning through Maker opportunities in a hands-on, creative enviroment with modern tools, equipment and supplies. MakerTechs manage each space and work with teachers to create project-based learning opportunities that align with what they are learning in the classroom. Students have an opportunity to engage with MakerSpaces on-their own with drop-in times as well as in the classroom.
