• We are searching for volunteer mentors for fifth graders during the PYP Exhibition process (February-April, 2022). Mentors meet with their group(s) twice a month during CAS Club time (Tuesdays from 2:15-3:00pm).

    Mentors are expected to:

    • Help students stay on task and complete goals incrementally and in a timely manner
    • Assist in setting new goals
    • Give feedback
    • Ask questions to guide students’ thinking
    • Facilitate telephone calls or interviews with experts
    • Support student action
    • Suggest resources
    • Help interpret difficult information

    Mentors are not expected to:

    • Select a topic or plan the Exhibition process for students
    • Be experts at what your mentees are studying
    • Scribe/type for mentees
    • Provide additional support outside of CAS club time
    • Assess or grade students, but you may provide the teacher with feedback if you desire
    • Mentor their own child

If interested, please email bmanker@pps.net. To access the Mentor Handbook, click this link. Thank you for your support!
