What exactly IS SCRIP?
SCRIP is just another name for gift cards. You can use them to purchase groceries, clothing, gifts, etc.SCRIP doesn't cost you anything extra. But by purchasing a SCRIP gift card, you are helping Creston earn money; the store whose card you buy gives a small percentage back to the school.
How do I buy a SCRIP card?
- Buy the most popular type of card at school Friday mornings.
The PTA has pre-puchased a stock of some of the most popular cards: Safeway, QFC, Fred Meyer and Burgerville. You can pay with cash or a check at the school Friday mornings at the start of school. The gift card you buy can be used right away. - Buy cards ahead of time from a long list of stores. GREAT for ordering cards as gifts!!!
Pick up a SCRIP order form in the office or download one here. This option works well for planning ahead for birthdays and holidays and times in your household when you do a lot of shopping (like back-to-school). There is a long list of: - Grocery stores
- Department stores–GAP, Penneys, Kohl's, Payless Shoes, etc.
- Automotive services–oil changes and car washes
- Restaurants
- Theaters
- Specialty stores–books, hardware, candy, coffee, fabric, iTunes, donuts, ice cream...
- Complete the form for the items you want, write a check and drop the form and the check off in the office in the PTA box. Below is the schedule for pre-ordering:
