  • School Supplies for the 2-17-2018 School Year

School wide, we are moving away from itemized school supply lists. Instead, we are asking families to contribute a flat rate to the school for us to purchase all of our needed school supplies. The school can purchase items at our district corporate rate, in bulk, getting exactly what we need—this will allow us to save money and eliminate a lot of waste.

We are asking that each family contribute $50 per student to Lewis School by check or cash. To pay with a credit card, go to our SchoolPay website: https://www.pps.net/Page/3528.  The link is also on the left side bar of this website.  When paying on SchoolPay, please be sure to pay for your school supplies and the kinder canvas bags with the item titled Office: School Supplies, NOT the individual teacher.  Thank you!

In addition to the $50 flat rate contribution, every kindergarten student should bring the following with them on the first day of school (September 5th):
headphones (not earbuds) in a Ziploc bag with child’s name on the bag
$10 for a canvas bag (please do not buy a backpack).
**If paying by check, please write one check for the combined total of $60.

In addition to the $50 flat rate contribution, every 1st-5th grade student should bring the following with them on the first day of school (August 30th):
backpack (one big enough to hold a coat)
headphones (not earbuds) in a Ziploc bag with child’s name on the bag

If any of the above presents a financial hardship for your family, please let Tracy in the School Office know. We are happy to work with your family to ensure that your child will have everything s/he needs to start the year.

Please contact the School Office at 503-916-6360 or email Tracy at tgiordano@pps.net if you have any questions.
    Thank you!

  • Community Care Day & School Social

PPS Community Care Day is right around the corner!
Saturday, August 26th from 9am - noon, please join us in cleaning up the school grounds and gardens for the new school year.
After Community Care Day, join our PTA for a Lewis School Social.  BYO picnic lunch, stick around for cool treats provided by our PTA, and hang out with other Lewis Families.
We thank you for your continued support!
