OGMS Weekly Update 4.5.24

While this year has brought many starts & stops, we continue to keep our focus on building a sense of belonging for our students and creating opportunities for students to actively engage in their learning. I have been impressed with our team's continued commitment to finding student-centered solutions that support our students that are still working on finding their sense of belonging or are challenged with being learners throughout their day. We are so proud of the many students that have shown remarkable growth with being a learner and know that we have others well on their way. These gains would not be possible without the collaboration of our Climate Team, Counselors, Social Worker, Leadership Team and Classroom Teachers. Next week we will again celebrate our students through our quarterly Core Values Awards for Care, Collaboration and Growth, attendance highlights and Honor Roll acknowledgement, but I want to take a moment right now to CELEBRATE our amazing staff! Seeing them in action every day is an honor and I look forward to continuing to witness the amazing growth of our students that are being cared for by this incredible staff.
In Partnership,

This message is from our OG Supporters Board Members
The OG Supporters is parent-led group that supports the needs of our school. The OG Supporters is also a registered non-profit and as such, requires at least three board officers to maintain this legal standing. Two of its three current officers, President and Secretary, are vacating their seats this spring due to their students promoting from Ockley Green. In order for the OG Supporters to continue providing their much-needed support, new officers are needed immediately. If you are interested in learning more about the OG Supporters, please email admin@ogsupporters.org.
This year, Ockley Green Supporters is one of the nonprofits that people can choose to support when making purchases via the Peninsula Optimist Club "Friends of the Youth" Spring Plant Sale. For more information, head to our website, or go straight to the sale (just choose "Ockley Green Supporters" at check out). You can order now through May 3rd, for pick up on May 9th and 10th.
