• Roosevelt HS To Remain in Temporary Distance Learning Through January 21

    Español|

    Dear Roosevelt Community,

After careful consideration and in consultation with your school leadership, we are extending the temporary distance learning return date until January 21. While we recognize and prefer that every student be in an in-person environment, we made this decision to prioritize the health and safety of students and staff, as well as to better ensure consistent staffing available to safely operate the school. We continue to see high numbers of positive cases of COVID-19 in our community which is causing a continued rise in absences of students and staff.

Roosevelt’s temporary distance learning will end on Friday, January 21. All staff and students should plan to return to in-person learning on Monday, January 24

During temporary distance learning, a limited number of in-person student support opportunities and extracurricular activities will take place on-campus at Roosevelt, including PIL athletics and performing arts.  Principal Parman will share more details about these limited on-site activities with your community.

We will continue to provide breakfast and lunch for daily pickup. You can pick up meals every day from 11:00am - 12:30pm at Roosevelt.

This year, your student was issued a PPS Chromebook. If your student needs a device and/or internet hotspot, please contact your student’s school to be issued one. If you need to contact the tech support desk, you can do so by either sending an email to support@pps.net or calling our support line at 503-916-3375.

If you have any questions, please contact Roosevelt main phone line at (503)916-5260 or rooseveltinfo@pps.net.

Thank  you so much for your understanding and patience as we navigate the current challenges to students and staff at Portland Public Schools.

    Regional Superintendent, Portland Public Schools
