    Dear PPS Families,

Effective today, Thursday Jan 13, 2022, PPS will implement changes to athletics and a variety of activities in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 across our community:

    Limited Spectators/Audiences

We will limit the number of spectators/audience at each of our venues. We encourage spectators/audiences to physically distance themselves from others who are not in their household. Capacity across our venues will not exceed 50%.

PIL Athletics will provide five spectator tickets to each PPS player for both home and away games. Pending inter-league play, five additional spectator tickets will be provided to each visiting player. There will be no charge for tickets during the regular season.

Performing Arts, including music concerts and theatre productions, will be limited to 50% of the capacity of auditorium/cafetorium and common spaces. Performances held in larger spaces such as gymnasiums will follow the guidelines for Athletics outlined above.

    Vaccination Requirements

All visitors who are eligible for vaccinations (5 years of age and older) will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

    No Overnight Travel

There will continue to be no overnight travel for athletic competitions or performances before February 4.

    Concession Stands

Concession stands are closed until further notice. No outside food or beverages will be allowed.

    Masks

Masks will continue to be worn by everyone in the venue.

    New Quarantine Guidance

All PPS Athletics, Activities and Performing Arts will follow PPS newly adopted public health guidelines regarding quarantining.

    Live Stream

For those who want or need to stay home, we are making our games available via live stream on the NFHS Network. The link is available on your school’s athletic website.

    Extracurricular Activities

As some of our schools transition to temporary distance learning, PPS will allow a limited number of in-person extracurricular activities to take place, including PIL athletics and performing arts.

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate athletics and activities with the Omicrom variant. Future changes will be communicated to affected students and families.
