Attention 8th-Grade Families: is your student interested in the 2020 East Coast Trip? Click HERE for more information!

    The 2020 East Coast Trip is 8 days/7 nights (Friday, June 12 - Friday, June 19, 2020).

This travel adventure is an amazing way for students to experience our nation's heritage. Destinations include Washington, DC, Lancaster County and Philadelphia, PA, and New York City.

Beaumont teacher Valerie Turner is co-planning the 2020 trip with West Sylvan teacher Karen Rouse. We are both experienced East Coast Trip teachers! Education Travel Services, Inc. is the locally-owned and -operated travel company putting together this incredible trip. Christine French is our ETSI account manager, and you can reach her by email at christine@etsi.ws or by calling 503-653-3988. You can also email Ms. Turner at vturner@pps.net.

The estimated price for this 8-day, 7-night adventure of a lifetime is $3,600. The price is all-inclusive. ETSI provides and organizes round-trip airfare, all activities, all meals, admission fees, quality lodging (quad occupancy), nighttime security at each hotel, on-site escorts, motorcoach transportation, and tour guides/drivers. • Student Absences

Please arrange student absences through our attendance office (John McMahan & Debbie Mettler) either by phone at 503-916-5610 or by email at jmcmahan@pps.net & dmettler@pps.net.
John & Debbie need the following information to ensure accuracy: Spelling of student's name or ID#, reason for absence, and a phone number at which you can be reached.
If you are calling during school hours and reach voicemail, it is because we are on another line or helping a parent or student. All messages will be picked up promptly.
For an early dismissal, please allow extra time for your student to be located and dismissed from class. Please note that it is not always possible to dismiss a student during the last 15 minutes of class. It is highly recommended to send a note with your student so they can be checked in or out in a timely manner.
All absences and tardies must be excused within three school days.
To reach the attendance office by email, click here.
