Welcome to the Richmond Library!
-
The Richmond library program strives to foster a love of reading and to develop information technology skills in students. We help students become critical thinkers by exploring a variety of both English and Japanese literary materials in a safe, encouraging environment. We are an open and engaging space for students, teachers and families. The library program adheres to the Oregon School Library Standards.
Late and Lost Books
We do not charge fines for overdue books in the Richmond Library; however, overdue books eventually become "lost books". Patrons are charged a fine of full purchase price of each lost book. Some students have unresolved fines from previous years.
What should you do if you have fines for lost books? Simply return the lost books to the Richmond Library, and the fine will be cleared from the patron's account when it is checked in. If you have truly lost or damaged a book, or have questions, email the Media Specialist (refer to our Staff Page). You may reply directly to your library fine email. You may also pay for lost books in your SchoolPay account. Not sure how to use SchoolPay? Here are directions.
The library Suggestion Box is full of titles our students would like to read, and your donation will make it possible to purchase them!
