The Richmond Elementary Library Program strives to foster a love of reading and to develop information technology skills in students. We help students become critical thinkers by exploring a variety of both English and Japanese literary materials in a safe, encouraging environment. We are an open and engaging space for students, teachers and families. The library program adheres to the Oregon School Library Standards which can be found at: https://sites.google.com/site/oregonschoollibrarystandards/

What is Richmond Reads?
Richmond Reads books include the third through fifth grade titles selected for the Oregon Battle of the Books plus a list of recent titles aimed at kindergarten through second grade readers. Readers should not feel limited by these categories and should choose the books that fit their interests and abilities. Richmond families, staff, and students are encouraged to read at least one Richmond Reads book, and some will enjoy the challenge of reading them all! Check out the Richmond Reads Booklist!
The library Suggestion Box is full of titles our students would like to read and your donation will make it possible to purchase them!
