• PPS Student Musicians Shine in All-State Ensembles

We are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by 96 of our outstanding PPS music students, who have earned spots in the prestigious All-State Ensembles for the Oregon Music Education Association (OMEA).

This annual statewide competition recognizes the "best of the best" in student musicianship, bringing together top performers from across Oregon to play in cross-district ensembles at the state music education conference this weekend, January 17-19.

Securing a place in the All-State Ensembles is no small feat. These talented students embody:

    • Exceptional skill: Mastery of their instruments or vocal abilities that meet the highest standards of performance.

    • Commitment: Countless hours of practice and preparation, demonstrating remarkable dedication to their craft.

    • Collaboration: The ability to blend their artistry within an ensemble, showcasing teamwork and musicality.

    • Perseverance: Overcoming challenges and refining their talents to rise above the competition.

The All-State Ensembles provide an unparalleled opportunity for students to perform under the baton of renowned conductors, collaborate with peers who share their passion for music, and represent our district on a statewide stage, inspiring excellence in music education.

We couldn’t be prouder of these students for their hard work, talent, and dedication. They represent the very best of our schools and the future of music education. Please join us in congratulating these PPS student champions for this well-deserved recognition and thanking PPS’s amazing music educators for making this possible!
