We’ve merged our two campuses to become a dynamic new school! That being said, we still have our two models working in tandem together to bring you flexible, rigorous and personalized instruction.

It's that time of year. You should be hearing from your student's advisor very soon. If you haven't, please reach out to us. 503-916-6486
We will help you connect with your student's advisor to set up an appointment.
Classes will not be in session during conference week (11/25 - 11/29). Students should check in with teachers and prepare any work they are able to take home if they need to "catch up" on any assignments.
Also, watch for our new Alliance High School website. We have things in motion and hope to have all our information in one easy to navigate location.

Dear Alliance High School Community,
I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the interim principal at Alliance High School. I am thrilled to be joining the dedicated staff and students of this unique learning community for the remainder of this school year and look forward to supporting the good work that is already going on in this beautiful new building.
My name is Mike Rowell, and I have worked as a teacher and administrator with Portland Public Schools for the past 33 years. I retired from PPS as the principal at Lane Middle School, and have since supported a number of schools as an interim or substitute administrator, including Metropolitan Learning Center, Ockley Green Middle School and Roosevelt High School.
I am passionate about ensuring that all students, especially those who identify as members of historically underserved communities, receive the educational service, respect and sense of inclusion that they need and deserve to thrive and meet their personal goals. I firmly believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to student success, and I encourage parents and guardians to both actively engage in their student’s education and be in touch with the school on a regular basis. I will begin sending a regular community newsletter starting next week in order to keep you up to date on the activities and opportunities happening at Alliance. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions, concerns, or just want to introduce yourself. You can reach me via email at mrowell@pps.net and in the main office at (503) 916-6486.

Our Students are Respectful, Engaged, and Present above all else.
We are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement by 96 of our outstanding PPS music students, who have earned spots in the prestigious All-State Ensembles for the Oregon Music Education Association (OMEA).
This annual statewide competition recognizes the "best of the best" in student musicianship, bringing together top performers from across Oregon to play in cross-district ensembles at the state music education conference this weekend, January 17-19.
PPS is hosting a series of events that focus on belonging, equity and inclusive practices where we will screen powerful, award-winning documentaries that will challenge each of us to consider what is possible in the systems we create for our children with disabilities.
As part of this series, we will be holding a free screening of "Forget Me Not” on Thursday, January 16th at 6:30 PM at Franklin High School.
"Forget Me Not" is a moving story about 3-year-old Emilio whose family finds itself embroiled in a challenge all too common for children with disabilities: that of securing the right to an inclusive education. Filmmaker Olivier and his wife, Hilda, turn the camera on themselves and their child as they navigate an often frustrating system on their way toward ensuring that their son gets the education he needs and deserves.
Staff, families, and community members are all invited. Parking is free and light refreshment will be provided. We hope to see you there!
If you’re ever lucky enough to tag along with Tom Myers and his bird club at Skyline School, you’ll most likely notice a few things: that Skyline in the early morning can be a breathtakingly beautiful place, and that if you have a question about birds – or the natural world in general – the man his students call “Teacher Tom” can almost certainly answer it.
