Like and Follow Us on Facebook
PPS Alameda Elementary School is the official Facebook page for our school where we will provide quick reminders of events and share fun photographs from the school day and special school events.
TIP: Did you know that you can control which posts show up first in your feed? If you feel like you aren't seeing Alameda's Facebook posts in a timeline fashion, you may want to designate Alameda as a "See First" status on Facebook.
Look for electronic flyers in your e-mail inbox from “PeachJar.”
Portland Public Schools launched Peachjar to send flyers directly to families via e-mail as part of the district’s Mobile First initiative. Not only does it decrease paper waste for parents but it makes it easier to find information. No longer do you have to hunt through your house looking for the flyer that came home in a backpack. All the flyers are there in your inbox. And, if you have lost track of the flyer in your e-mail inbox, you can always view the online repository for Alameda.
Attend a PTA meeting.
General membership meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month except January. We meet in the School Library. All are welcome to attend, regardless of your PTA Membership status. Complimentary childcare is available and at these meetings you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other Alameda parents and learn more about topics of interest within in our community. In addition we will hold weekly Parent Coffee Breaks immediately after drop-off on the first Wednesday of each month. Check the online calendar for more information about both of these opportunities to connect with your Alameda community.
