• Before and After School Programs & Services
The Alameda Community is fortunate to have a variety of programs and services to enrich our student's lives and support our families.
Programs with "*PTA" would not be possible without the support of The Alameda PTA's fundraising and volunteer efforts.

    After School Enrichment Classes
Interested in which programs offer enrichment classes and activities after school at Alameda? Check this Google website, created by an Alameda parent volunteer and updated monthly, for offerings each school term—fall, winter, spring—and those occurring throughout the year. Check the website regularly for new listings. PPS policy is that schools may only advertise district-sponsored activities and events.  PTAs, PTOs, other volunteers, and any external agency providing enrichment activities are responsible for their own outreach and promotion to families.  Alameda school staff are not responsible for after school programs offered after school by external organizations.

Bike and Walk to School Program *PTA
This is a once per month promotion to encourage students to walk, bike, skate, or scooter to school. Students who routinely take the bus or are driven to school are asked to walk to the bus stop and/or park some distance from school and walk the rest of the way. This program promotes health and well being, as well as encouraging the use of alternative forms of transportation. As a part of this program, students are also invited to participate in International Bike and Walk to School Day in early October as well as the Bike and Walk challenge that takes place in the month of May.

For more information about this program, please contact , Jason Plumb and Christophe Esayian, leaders for the Bike and Walk to School Program, at walkandbike@alamedaschool.org.
