  • Register for Kindergarten 2020-21

    Register for Kindergarten Online!
    If you have a child who will be 5 years old by September 1, please register for kindergarten! To register, go to pps.net/kinderenroll. The process takes 20-30 minutes and school staff will follow up with you later in the summer. With schools closed, online registration is the easiest option, but paper options will be available soon. 
    You don’t need to register if your child attends a PPS Head Start or Pre-Kindergarten program.
    You will also need to submit this additional document directly to the Bridlemile office:

  • Champions will be new child care provider for Bridlemile

    For the 2018-19 school year, Bridlemile Elementary School will have a new child care provider – Champions. Champions will provide high-quality before- and after-school child care services. This is a known and well-regarded organization, providing child care in schools in the Portland area and across the country.

Message

  • Dear Bridlemile Community,

     

    The staff at Bridlemile Elementary School welcomes you and your family to the 2019-2020 school year. The Bridlemile philosophy supports the fact that each student has a right to develop to his/her fullest potential.  Helping each child become a participating and contributing member of the school, community, and world is our Number 1 goal.  It is our responsibility to create a nurturing, positive school climate that promotes self-confidence and positive self-esteem.  The learning environment at Bridlemile strives to meet the student's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical growth patterns using high academic and behavioral expectations coupled with a sensitivity to each child's unique needs and learning style.  Through cooperative support of the staff, the teachers, and the parents, we expect each child to reach his/her maximum potential by embracing our core values.

     

    Bridlemile core values:

    Our core program includes:

    • Music with a Music Specialist two times each week plus an optional band program for fifth graders and a strings program for third, fourth, and fifth graders
    • Music programs for K/1, 2/3, 4/5, and Band/Strings
    • Library with a Media Specialist/Teacher Librarian once a week
    • Technology with a Technology Teacher Specialist 50 minutes a week
    • Physical Education with a PE Specialist three times per week
    • Art with classroom teachers and professional artists through the Artist in Residency program
    • Mandarin/Chinese Language and Culture with a Mandarin Teacher one time per week
