Creative Science School K-8 is a Portland Public School. As a Focus Option school, all enrollment is handled through the Office of Enrollment and Transfer and the lottery process. To learn more about Creative Science School we invite you to attend one of our Information Sessions this winter. Attendance at these sessions are not required in order to apply for the lottery, but please know that we are unable to provide private tours or classroom visits outside of these times. We begin enrollment in Kindergarten and have limited transfer spots available for first through seventh grades.

Once the lottery is run in the Spring, you will be notified by email and letter by the Office of Enrollment and Transfer.

A public hearing will be held by the Tax Supervising and Conservation Commission on the budget approved by the Budget Committee for Portland Public School District 1J, Multnomah County, Oregon for the fiscal year July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020. The hearing will be held in the Board Auditorium at the Blanchard Education Service Center (BESC), 501 North Dixon Street, Portland, Oregon, on the 25th day of June at 3 p.m.
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Liane Kehaulani O’Banion has accepted our offer to become Portland Public School’s Director of Title IX Policy, Training & Compliance.
The new mascot and nickname for Franklin High School will be Lightning. The process to determine a new identity for the school was finalized Tuesday, when the Portland Public Schools Board of Education unanimously approved Superintendent Guadalupe Guerrero’s recommendation.
