OHSU COVID-19 Voluntary Student Screening Program
Students at all PPS schools can sign up to get free weekly COVID-19, PCR tests through their school. The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has contracted with OHSU to provide these tests to participating K-12 schools in Oregon. The tests involve students collecting a saliva sample at home and dropping it off at school. Kits will be available to students on Wednesdays and then dropped back at the school on Thursday mornings at Lane MS. You can learn more about the program here. Information including consent forms were given to students to take home on this past Monday. This program is entirely voluntary and is another way we are working to keep our community healthy. Please consider having your student participate. Forms are still available at school and students can be added whenever they are turned in.

As always, please reach out if you have questions, concerns or needs that we may be able to help with. You can reach me by replying to this email, or by texting my cell at 971-678-9700. Be well, be safe!

    Sincerely,

The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) has contracted with OHSU to provide these tests to participating K-12 schools in Oregon. This program is entirely voluntary and is another way we are working to keep our community healthy. Please consider having your student participate.

    Social Distancing during Meal Times
Students continue to do a great job following our COVID related protocols. One area in which are seeing concerns is in having students space themselves adequately during meal times. We appreciate how much students want to socialize with their friends, but meal times are the rare moments when large numbers of students have their masks off, increasing the risk of possible infection. Please take a moment with your students to discuss the importance of leaving as much space between people during meals. Thank you for your support.

As always, please reach out if you have questions, concerns or needs that we may be able to help with. You can reach me by replying to this email, or by texting my cell at 971-678-9700. Be well, be safe!
