• Welcome to the Mt Tabor Middle School PTA!

    We’re here to support students, teachers, and staff at MTMS through funding, events,
    and volunteer efforts. Our goal is to strengthen the MTMS community while helping kids

    always looking for more ways to support our school.


    Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 30 th at 6:30pm – First General PTA
    meeting of the school year! This will be an opportunity to meet other parents and talk
    with our principal, Tonya Longo, plus hear updates from the PTA.


    Why Join the PTA?
    It’s simple: advocacy. Being a PTA member connects you to the largest parent
    advocacy network in Oregon and nationwide, supporting public schools. The more
    members we have, the more political clout we have to advocate for our public school

    How to Volunteer:
    Interested in helping but don’t know where to start? First, make sure your PPS
    Background Check is up to date. It’s valid for three years. Here’s a list of where help is
    needed this school year. Please email mtmspta@gmail.com if you are interested.
    Volunteer sign up forms for specific dates will be shared in the school’s newsletter and
    on Facebook. Here are some dates and areas we could use help with:

    • Picture Day – Tuesday, September 16th . Morning and afternoon shifts available.
    • School Dance - Wednesday, October 29th – 4:15pm to 5:45pm
    • Lost and Found – do you like to organize? If so, lost and found would love your
      help sorting, keeping it neat, and coordinating donations to the PPS Clothing
      Closest three times a year.
    • Grounds Cleanup and Upkeep – due to budget constraints, family help is
      appreciated to keep our grounds looking their best.
    • PPS Clothing Closet – dates TBD, either a Monday or a Thursday 9:00am to
      1:00pm.
    • Staff Appreciation Week – first week of May.

    Our $7,000 annual budget supports classroom and school needs. Ways to contribute:

    Speakers, In-Person Buy Nothing Event, Talent Show? Interested in hosting or have
