8th Grader Elliot Cervantes Reviews How To: Absurd Scientific Advice for Common Real-world Problems, by Randall Munroe
"How To is a book about over-complicated, ridiculous answers to everyday tasks, like digging a hole, or filling up a pool. The author is a retired NASA scientist, and has a webcomic called xkcd, which I would also recommend.
The author has a great sense of humor, and there's just something I personally find really funny about how he over complicates things. A lot of parts have a little doodle in a one panel comic book style, which are really funny every time. I'd rate it a solid 9/10."
Elliot notes that the audience for this book, "depends more on reading skill level than grade. The content itself is for all ages, but it gets pretty wordy at times."
