Principal's Message

  • Faubion Families,

Faubion Bulldog Logo Welcome back to Faubion PK-8 School! It is wonderful having our hallways filled with students once again. I hope everyone had a relaxing and rejuvenating summer. I am more than excited to lead Faubion School as your principal. Moving into this school year was much smoother than last! This summer was filled with creating goals, systems, and supports so we are better able to focus on teaching/learning, rather than construction and moving. The administration is pleased to roll out new academic and school climate goals, as well as a focus on quality and enriching learning activities.  As this school year progresses, we will work together to ensure students at Faubion School receive a top-notch educational experience.

As September quickly approaches, there are a few events/activities that I’d like to put on your radar:

    • September 5th is Curriculum Night. The 3toPhD staff are sponsoring a dinner from 5:00-6:00pm. Time with teachers will be from 6:00- 8:00pm.
    • September 12th is Special Friend’s Day where we invite family members to visit classrooms and support students in literacy-based activities.
    • September 17th is Picture Day. This will be a Free Dress day. Packets and picture information coming home soon!
    • September 28th is Pastries with Dr. Williams at 9:15am. I look forward to connecting over coffee and pastries about school and community topics.

As we kick off this school year, we welcome support in a few areas. Please remember that we are a Standard Dress school, meaning we have uniform requirements. In addition, it is important that we supervise students in the Welcome Hall. Please reinforce Faubion’s expectations by helping our kiddos remain professional and respectful by keeping feet off of the furniture and not running in our halls. I also ask for time and patience in regard to pick up after school. I realize that our parking lot is fairly small and we have a lot of students, which means many parents driving through our parking lot all at once. As the year progresses, this system will become smoother and we are constantly reflecting and revising to improve all systems as our school’s population continues to grow!

Thank you for all you do for our students, staff, and families. I look forward to seeing you at events, drop off/pick up, volunteering, or in passing in the community.  You are the backbone of Faubion and I look forward to this school year working together as partners is providing your child the best learning experience Faubion School can offer.

    In solidarity,

    Dr. Karmin Williams
