When you join Grant PTA, you are also joining at the state and national level. You are becoming part of the largest and oldest child advocacy organization in the nation. The mission of PTA is threefold: to support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children; to assist parents in developing skills they need to raise and protect their children; and to encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.
What is PTA doing at Grant?
With membership dues and fundraising, Grant PTA is pleased to support students and teachers through classroom grants. We advocate for the health, education, and safety of our students and provide a forum for parent involvement. We help fund teacher appreciation events, the College and Career Center, the Library and more. We support the PTA Clothing Center and the Student Aid Fund. We are proud to be able to give two PTA scholarships for graduating Grant seniors.
How can you become a Grant PTA member?
You can now join the PTA on SchoolPay. Be sure to list the name and email address of the member so we can add it to the Oregon PTA database. Membership is $25 per person. Make checks to Grant PTA. You can also join from the Oregon PTA website.
Fred Meyer Community Giving Program
Last year we earned over $2500 from Fred Meyer with zero cost to, and only a few minutes online, on the part of our parents, longtime friends and families. Please help us continue to earn through this program. We can do even better, as more families designate Grant PTA, we earn more.
