• About Us

    Named for Abigail Scott Duniway, an early settler and suffragette, Duniway Elementary School traces its history back 120 years. The school was built in early 1927 and has since been an integral part of the Eastmoreland neighborhood and community.

    We are located at 7700 SE Reed College Place, Portland, Oregon. If your family is new to the area, please stop by or schedule a visit to Duniway by contacting our office at 503-916-6343 between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

    Duniway Core Values

    During the 2015-2016 School Year, the Duniway Community went through a process to identify what core traits were central to making Duniway an exceptional school.  We surveyed our families, staff, and our students.  It was a long, but exciting process and in the late spring of 2016 we landed on our five core values.  At the start of the 2016-2017 school year, staff, families, and students have been focused on learning about these values and what the mean and what they look like.  We look forward to our values guiding much of our work in the coming years.
