Senior Celebration: Friday, May 2nd from 9 AM to 4 PM in the College & Career Center
On Friday, May 2nd, the College & Career Center will be hosting a Senior Celebration. Seniors can stop by the CCC, room 128, between 9 am and 4 pm to fill out their Senior Survey, enter to win prizes, put themselves on the Class of 2025 map, and grab a cupcake.

BEAM's Annual Black Baccalaureate: Sunday, May 18th from 4 to 6 PM at the University of Portland
The Black Baccalaureate welcomes Black students graduating from post-secondary institutions, trade programs, high schools, and alternative schools in the Portland Metro and SW Washington areas. The Black Baccalaureate is a historical celebration of the Black community, families, friends, and supporters coming together and collectively honoring our youth while instilling a sense of cultural pride in those who have fulfilled this pivotal stage in their development. Free College Essay Online Workshops for Grant Students
We're excited to be partnering with College Essay Guy again this year to offer students several useful college application resources, including live virtual workshops on how to write personal statements. Grant High School students can join the live online courses listed below:
- Personal Statement Boot Camps:
- Round 1: June 2nd, 4th, 6th
- Round 2: June 16th, 18th, 20th
- 10-11:30 AM PT & 4-5:30 PM PT for all dates
- How to Answer the UC Personal Insight Questions Crash Course: July 14th & 16th, 3 to 5 PM
- The College Application + Supplemental Essays Crash Course: September 21st

Willamette University Camp College: July 23rd to 25th at Willamette University; Deadline is May 19th
Camp College is an application-based program open to rising high school juniors and seniors committed to pursuing a four-year college or university education. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be on track to graduating high school in June 2026 or June 2027;
- Be enrolled and attend a high school within the Willamette Valley;
- Demonstrate a solid commitment to attending a four-year college or university; and,
- Display leadership experience or potential.
This three-day, two-night camp experience offers students from Salem and the greater Willamette Valley to attend a sample college class, discover the differences between college types and sizes, and attend workshops that will better prepare them for a successful college application process.
Student Academy to Inspire Learning (SAIL): July 14th to 18th at the University of Oregon
UO SAIL pre-college immersive summer programs and year-round mentoring programs inspire Oregon high school students to pursue, enroll and succeed in higher education. FREE weeklong day programs for rising high school juniors and rising seniors, hosted on the University of Oregon Eugene campus, where high school students learn about various subjects from distinguished University of Oregon faculty members through fun, social, and interactive activities.
