Supporting Technology at Robert Gray
What is a Chromebook?
A Chromebook is a laptop running Chrome OS as its operating system.
The devices are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and data residing in "the cloud".
Chromebook Uses at RGMS:
Students and teachers at Robert Gray Middle School use Chromebooks extensively for teaching and learning. Because these devices have no operating system and are inexpensive, they are the perfect technology solution for schools. Teachers use Google apps to create and store content, then teach and assess with, making accessing subject matter from this online platform easy and always available. Collaboration between users is easy and allows students to work together, while teachers can give input directly as students work. RGMS has worked for six year developing our Chromebook fleet. We continue to seek funds and donations to keep this initiative strong.
Donations for Heads in the Cloud, Chromebooks for Classrooms, are always appreciated. Schoolpay is a great way to charge school fees and donations! pps.schoolpay.com
