School Picnics
During the first month of school our 1x12 grade students take the day off for a picnic. We take this time to rekindle friendships after the summer break and to welcome new students and families into our community. Again in June, usually the last day of school, we all picnic in celebration of the year's accomplishments and the summer to come.

Halloween
Halloween is a big event at MLC. Costumes are welcome and most everyone wears one. Spooky activities in the classrooms, a costume parade and a maze in the gym are all part of the festivities.

Solstice
Prior to school closing for the winter break, we all gather to celebrate the winter Solstice. Students plan and present poems, songs, dances and a pageant to a crowded audience of current and former members of our community. Steeped in tradition, this is a warm and sharing time for all.

Talent Show
We have so much talent in our community! Our Talent show is an opportunity for our students to showcase their many talents.

Egg Drop
Egg Drop is a spring tradition at MLC and an all-school event. Everyone is encouraged to become involved by inventing a method of dropping a raw egg from the MLC roof without breaking. PSU engineering students take heed!
