College and Career Coordinators and College Counselors

Portland Public School's High School Career Coordinators work to expose students to career options and provide opportunities to explore career areas of interest through career-related learning experiences (CRLEs). In developing partnerships with the community and local businesses, they create learning experiences that help our students develop their plans for their post-secondary options.
Portland Public School's High School College Coordinators and College Counselors ensure postsecondary opportunities including 4-yr & 2-yr colleges/universities, as well as other training programs, are presented to students. They and their college support team, made up of ASPIRE mentors, Near Peer mentors, and community partners, also assist students with financial aid, the college application process, and other college-related activities.
