Favorite school memory as a student:

Back in 4th grade, we were studying Greek mythology and reading about the labors of Heracles. I remember wanting to fill my brain with these fantastic tales. We finished by making posters as a group and I was very proud of my drawing of Medusa.

My “why” for being in public education:

I loved all of my elementary teachers and owe them my love of education. Wendy and Sue and Charlotte and Bob all inspire me to this day. 

What I do to unwind and recharge:

Play lego with my daughters, listen to music, watch scary movies, swim in a river.
