Student Council exists for a number of reasons; to facilitate the sharing of student's ideas and concerns with staff and admin, to help raise funds for school-wide activities including social events, community projects, and school reform, to plan and execute school-wide events such as but not limited to spirit week, pep assemblies, and multicultural week... and so much more! All student council representatives and co-presidents are voted in by the student body in the Spring and serve a complete academic year term from the following Fall through Spring.

Student Council Mission Statement

The McDaniel Student Council is a group of elected student leaders committed to representing and serving the student body. Our mission is to foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive school community by addressing student concerns, organizing events, and acting as a bridge between students and the administration.

We are dedicated to creating opportunities for all students, regardless of background, and ensuring that every voice is heard. Guided by the values of CREED, we strive to maintain a realistic and optimistic outlook, promote school pride, and inspire McDaniel spirit throughout the year.

Above all, we aim to build trust with our peers by being approachable, accountable, and transparent. We work to establish positive relationships, create an environment where all students feel welcome, and uphold a strong reputation for being accessible to everyone.
