Jill Ross

Jill has been involved in the Portland Public School’s community for over a decade. She and her husband, Kevin, moved to Portland with their two sons in 2001, and decided to set down roots. Both of their boys are now proud graduates of Lincoln High School. In 2013, Jill decided to draw on her history of volunteering and background in human resources and accounting to seek a job in Portland Public Schools. She was hired as Lincoln’s bookkeeper that spring. As a Navy Brat, Jill  never felt connected at or to?  any of the three high schools she attended, and as an adult, she found a school community where she belongs:Lincoln.

Now the  School Business Manager, it is Jill’s job to manage the non-instructional activities at Lincoln. She oversees civic use of buildings requests and works with PPS facilities and custodians for all the building’s needs. Jill works closely with PPS transportation department to provide relevant information to students and parents and coordinates special trip activities for Lincoln. She works closely with Lincoln’s principal on a broad range of technical, budgetary, and operational duties. She partners with Lincoln’s alumni, students, staff, parents and other community members throughout the year, and also coordinates Lincoln’s Registration and Senior Checkout.
