• Middle Years Programme

IB World Schools share a common philosophy- a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education- that we believe is important for our students.

The  Middle Years Program (MYP)  is a comprehensive and coherent framework designed for students between the ages of 11-16. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, LHS is excited to offer the MYP to 9th and 10th grade students, recognizing the crucial role it plays in developing the academic and life skills of our scholars.

The Middle Years Program provides academic rigor and promotes personal, social, and emotional well-being, while also encouraging students to build self-esteem and discover their unique learning preferences. Through the MYP, students are empowered to tap into their full potential and confidently embrace new challenges as 11th and 12th graders in the Diploma Program. Go Cards!

What does it mean for our 9th and 10th graders?

In bringing the Middle Years Program (MYP) to LHS we are supporting a smooth transition from 8th to 9th grade for most of our students who come to us from MYP programs at Skyline and West Sylvan (our two main feeder schools). Adding the MYP means that all of our students will be IB scholars from their first day at Lincoln and will have two years of IB-aligned coursework prior to self-selecting and thriving in diploma program courses with increasing levels of confidence in 11th and 12th grade.
