Background: I started my career as a middle school English teacher and coach at McDonogh School in Maryland. I have worked at the University of Portland as an adjunct professor in business (finance, cross-cultural management, leadership). Before my adjunct professor employment, I worked in business for 25 years in textile manufacturing (3 years), wireless communications distribution (12 years), and investment management (10 years). I have many years of experience on public company and non-profit boards and bring "real world" experience to our business students. This is my fifh year of teaching at Lincoln.
This Year: For 2019-2020 I am teaching classes in Freshman Leadership & Inquiry (FLI), Business Communication (dual-credit), Introduction to Marketing and Personal Finance (dual credit). The business dual-credit classes are with the Portland State University. Over the past five years I have also taught at Lincoln including College & Career Exploration, Creative Writing - Fiction, Urban Exploration, Journalism-Media Studies, and Accounting.
Other: I serve as a volunteer assistant coach on the Lincoln wrestling team. I am also advisor for the Lincoln Chapter of National Honor Society, Interact Club, CommuniCare Club, Cards Cook, Investment Club, Outstanding Writers of Literature - O.W.L., and many other student-run clubs.
