Continuous Improvement of Core Curriculum
Portland Public Schools will utilize a continuous improvement model for the continuous evaluation and revision of our core curriculum. The Department of Teaching & Learning, in partnership with multiple district departments, utilize quantitative and qualitative data to ensure the fidelity of the provided curriculum. The data, feedback, and reflection collected from students, professional educators, and school building leaders drives continuous improvement. When such data is used effectively, it results in high levels of program utilization and a guaranteed and viable curriculum. Below is the proposed timeline for each content area's continuous improvement with general expectations for each component of the continuous evaluation cycle.
