School-Age Child Care

  • Child Care During Distance Learning

We are pleased to announce that our partner organizations will offer licensed child care this Fall. These contracted providers will operate fee-based child care programs in 11 schools, opening in phases in late September. Each school will enroll 2 small groups of 15 students. Programs offer distance learning support and enrichment for children ages 5-12. These organizations will reserve 50% of the spaces for families qualifying for State subsidies. After 2 weeks, if these spaces have not been filled, providers will open them up to the community.

  • Fall 2020: Update on Child Care

On September 9, the district released communication to families with updates on child care beginning in the Fall of 2020. Although our school buildings are closed due to State of Oregon COVID-19 restrictions, we are able to make them available for our partnered child care providers. To read information on Emergency Child Care licensing rules, how providers prioritize low income families, and safe reopening through our phased approach, visit the Fall 2020: Update on Child Care letter.
