Special Education and ESL
The CLD Support Team’s mission is to increase inclusive practices and help ensure that all necessary racial, cultural and linguistic factors have been considered at each stage of instruction, intervention, and assessment for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students.
The CLD Support Team will provide professional development, collaboration and coaching regarding the academic, behavioral, and communication needs of students from CLD backgrounds (who may or may not receive English as a Second Language services) across multiple tiers of support:
- Preventative practices (i.e., classroom observations, Student InterventionTeam support, interventions)
- Assessment guidelines and support
- ESL/SPED service delivery (reviewing IEPs, English Language Proficiency Assessment exemptions, etc.)
- Community and educational resources
