    Groundbreaking set for Madison, Kellogg construction projects

    The start of construction on a modernized Madison High School and new Kellogg Middle School is only a few weeks away. To celebrate, upcoming groundbreaking ceremonies will take place at both locations. These two schools are the first major construction projects funded by the May 2017 Bond.

    Benson’s Micah Williams has his eye on the Olympics

    Meet Micah Williams, a Benson High School junior who is making history in track and field – not only taking down all kinds of Oregon high school records and championships, but also becoming a major presence nationally. Micah, who maintains at 4.0 GPA, has set a goal of representing the United States in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

    Wilson teacher is finalist for Educator of the Year award

    Two high school teachers from Portland Public Schools have been selected to the OnPoint Community Credit Union Circle of Excellence, with one of them, Wilson's Joe Minato, named a finalist for the organization's Educator of the Year Award.

    Awards & Honors: Cleveland robotics team shines at worlds; Lincoln team wins Journalism Quiz Bowl

    Pigmice, a robotics team made up of 16 students from Cleveland High School and one from Franklin, completed its most successful year with a strong performance at the FIRST Robotics Championships, also known as “worlds,” in Houston, Texas.
