    Dear PPS Community,

The Portland Public Schools Board of Education is hosting its annual budget town hall virtually, so that community members can be heard, even in the midst of social distancing made necessary by COVID-19.

You can follow next Monday’s budget town hall via the PPS YouTube channel. Here are the details:

    PPS Virtual Budget Town Hall
    Monday, June 8, 2020 | 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

If you are interested in providing public testimony during the budget town hall, please see instructions below.

Monday evening’s program will include a short presentation of the 2020-21 PPS proposed budget, and a discussion of how next year’s budget is affected by state revenue shortfalls, where we are investing next year, and how we are holding true to our district Vision and strategic priorities.

Interested in providing public testimony to the Board on the Superintendent's message?
Please provide written budget feedback to budget2021@pps.net. Written feedback will be shared with the School Board and posted on the Board of Education website.

To sign-up to provide verbal testimony (speakers will be limited to two minutes), call Kara Bradshaw at 503-916-3906 or email publiccomment@pps.net. Once your spot has been confirmed, you will receive an email with instructions.

Interpretation will be available during the event in all supported languages. For other accommodations, you may reach out to the Board Office at schoolboard@pps.net.

We look forward to hearing from you.
