PPS High School Graduations at Providence Park
At the April 27 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Guerrero announced that Portland Public Schools will hold in-person high school graduation ceremonies for the Class of 2021 of our high schools. We are so happy to be able to offer this important ceremony to our seniors and their families. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, PPS held drive-through diploma ceremonies in 2020. This year, the district secured the use of Providence Park, home stadium of the Portland Thorns and Timbers professional soccer teams, to host in-person ceremonies in an outdoor setting, as recommended by public health authorities.
Attending a Ceremony
To attend a ceremony in person, you will need a ticket, which is issued through the graduate's school. For more information on ticketing, stadium rules and other information on each school, please see their webpages:

Parking & Transportation
Providence Park does not have on-site parking, but there are limited pay lots nearby. We will have more guidance on how to get to the stadium.
For reference, please see the Timbers' recommendations on getting to the stadium and parking. These are meant for game-day transportation, but they give you an idea of what you should plan for.
