¡Hola... Hola! is an interactive technology delivered Spanish language program for elementary school students. Lessons are broadcast Monday through Thursday on Portland Public Schools' Cable Access Channel 28, supplemented by student activities available on the project website.
The goal of the program is to provide children with an opportunity to develop proficiency skills in Spanish while they are at the prime age for learning languages.
¡Hola...Hola! curriculum is developed using national, state and district foreign language standards. Students with five years of ¡Hola...Hola! are expected to achieve a minimum oral language proficiency of Novice-Mid on the American Council on Teaching Foreign Languages (ACTFL) proficiency scale.
