2024 All-Star Awards Ceremony Update

The annual All-Star Awards Ceremony was first launched in 2019 as Portland Public Schools’ premier recognition event for students of color. After facing many challenges and making significant modifications since 2019 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we have been able to host a couple of in-person award ceremonies since! 

This year’s ceremony was held at the Prophet Education Center on Thursday, May 30th and we honored 50 students from five unique student groups: API Voices (Asian American and Pacific Islander youth), New Portlanders (immigrant youth), ¡Sí, Se Puede! (Latinx youth), Take Flight Native Pride (Native and Indigenous youth), and Young, Gifted and Black (Black youth). We were thrilled to have awarded and recognized these students as they have exemplified what it means to be great at school, at home, and in the community! They are truly All-Stars!
