Changes to PPS’s procedures for handling concerns and complaints
Over this past school year we have been evaluating and assessing the most relevant and effective ways to help families resolve questions or concerns, both at school and district levels. As part of the transition, we will be phasing out the Ombudsman position.
We will continue to host and support PPS channels for families and will update you on these options as school begins in the fall. In the meantime, below are resources available to all PPS families. As always, we encourage families to first discuss concerns with a teacher, staff member or principal at their school.
PPS remains completely committed to listening and identifying areas of concerns and the appropriate avenues for resolution. We will continue to serve as a resource, provide information about district policies and procedures, and, when appropriate, conduct informal interventions and mediations.
