Degrees and Certifications:
Vice Principal, students in grade 12
I was born in Mexico but have spent half of my life in the United States. Specifically, Mount Angel, Oregon. I have attended schools in both countries. I graduated high school in Mexico before moving to the United States. In the US, I obtained all of my college education.
At Portland State University I earned a Bachelors degree in Social Science and a Masters degree in curriculum and instruction. At George Fox University I earned my administrator's credentials and a Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership. I taught Language Arts and Social Studies in a bilingual strand in Woodburn School District after earning my Bachelors. I also served as an administrator in the Portland Public Schools District. Prior to working at PPS I worked as an Assistant Principal and the Equity and Community Outreach Director at North Clackamas School District.
I live in Tualatin. I have many things to be grateful for, primarily my three children: a Willamette University graduate, a senior at George Fox University, and a sophomore that attends Rensselear Polytechnic Institute in New York. Our family believes that the only equalizer in society is pursuing an education. It is because of this belief that I will always do everything I can to relate this message to the families I serve. I am honored to be part of the Wilson family and look forward to serving you as one of your vice principals as I get to experience "The Wilson Way."
