Susanne Cuatt

Susanne Cuatt works as an Academic Support teacher. She grew up in New York, but later moved to Texas to attend the University of Texas. She majored in education and psychology. Before becoming a teacher, she was a waitress and led winery tours. If she could have any job aside from what she is currently doing, she would want to be a child therapist. Cuatt has worked in education for 30 years and at Ida B. Wells for 9 years. She appreciates how collaborative other teachers and staff are. When she attended school, she participated in Drama/Theater, windsurfing and mountain biking. Outside of school — at her home in White Salmon, WA — she enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and gardening. She also leads a meditation group for people in jail who are incarcerated. She loves helping people and wants the best for everyone. Her personal motto is, "Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.”
