Margaret Murer
Margaret Murer is a vocal music teacher. She teaches Advanced Vocal Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, Wilsingers, and AP Music Theory. She has an ARCT diploma from the Associateship of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, a bachelor’s degree in music, and a master of arts in teaching in musical education. She was born in Saskatoon, Canada. She has been teaching for more than 30 years, and outside of Wells has been the assistant conductor of an adult choir in Switzerland, has taught French for travellers at PCC for 20 years, and conducts three student orchestras at the Community Music Center. In her free time, Murer enjoys travelling, hiking, gardening and playing chamber music. Her favorite movie is The Holiday, and she has two adult daughters and five grandchildren. “I am so fortunate that I can combine my two main passions in life: music and working with teenagers,” she says.
