Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Erika Luther

Erika Luther teaches American Sign Language. She has a bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. In addition, she has a master's in Deaf Education from the University of Northern Colorado. In college, she volunteered at an elementary school with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. She wanted the opportunity to practice her sign language and spend more time with the students, which led her to teaching. Before joining us at Ida B Wells, Luther taught families how to communicate with their Deaf children for thirteen years. Outside of school, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, spending time with her family, and watching the Trail Blazers and Denver Broncos win.
