Degrees and Certifications:
Joshua Martin is a Health teacher at Ida B. Wells. Martin has taught at Wells for 16 years. He taught at a middle school in Forest Grove before teaching at Wells. Martin has a wife, three children and two dogs. In his free time he likes to camp, hike, garden, bike and he’s a big fan of the Portland Trail Blazers. Before teaching, Martin was a counselor for traumatized children for 3 years and a drug and alcohol counselor for 2 years. Experiences as a counselor is what inspired him to want to be a health teacher. He got a bachelor's degree at Western Oregon in secondary education and a master's degree at Portland State for Curriculum and Instruction. Martin thrives in his field and really enjoys working and helping young people.
