Degrees and Certifications:
Caitlin Toohey has taught Engineering and Robotics for three years at Ida B Wells for three years. She finds IBWHS to be one of the most welcoming and inclusive places she’s worked. Toohey got a bachelor’s degree in History, a master's in Material Science and Engineering, as well as a minor in Writing from Ohio State. Toohey then went on to get a master's in teaching from Concordia. She began teaching because she loves learning and when working as an engineer she was always more excited about explaining how to do something. Toohey’s favorite thing about teaching is having a space for students to challenge themselves and take creative risks. In her free time she enjoys running, dancing, reading and doing yoga.
