Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Distribution of Donations for Staffing
On December 3, 2024, PPS Board of Education approved the Charter for a new Board Committee, the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Distribution of Donations for Staffing! There is just over $1 million to allocate for 2025-2026 School Year. The PPS Board of Education appointed eleven committee members at their regular board meeting, February 4, 2025. We have an adult representative from each PPS Cluster plus two high school students.

Purpose of the CommitteeTo provide a recommendation to the PPS Board of Education for distribution of fundraised dollars for staff positions to fulfill the commitment of the Districtwide Advocacy and Fundraising Policy (7.10.020-P).
Committee Membership
The Committee is composed of no more than eleven members: nine parents/guardians plus two students with at least one representative from each cluster plus Multiple Pathways to Graduation.
Selection: From an applicant pool, members are selected and appointed by the Board.
Representative Group: Committee shall reflect District demographics, including racial/ethnic and socio-economic diversity and experiences with special education. Representatives will include a mix of parents/guardians of students from elementary, middle and high schools. Student representatives need to be attending a PPS high school.
Terms: Representatives will initially be appointed to staggered terms of one and two years with all subsequent terms being two years. Each member may serve up to four years total on the Committee. Student representatives will be appointed to a one-year term.
